Became an instant folk hero after being brought on for Enyimba colleague Enyeama just seconds before the final whistle so that he could keep goal for the Nigerian club in the deciding shootout at the 2004 MTN CAF Champions League final against Etoile Sahel. His fine saves gave Enyimba 5-3 victory. Joined Bnei Yehuda in Israel in 2007.
