Has been second choice goalkeeper at major tournaments but not yet got a chance to play. Started several matches last year for the Super Eagles, including the 1-0 win in a friendly in Zurich against Switzerland in November. Appeared in two MTN CAF Champions League finals with his former club Etoile Sahel of Tunisia.
