Made his national team debut in 1996 and was a squad member at the 1998 African Nations Cup finals in Burkina Faso and 2000, when he was three years older than he now claims to be. Played at Goztepsor, Galatasary and Ankaraspor in Turkey before moving to Sweden and now England.
